Zhambyl Polytechnic higher college is one of the leaders of the system of technical and vocational education in the southern region of Kazakhstan, with more than half a century of rich history and established traditions. Our main goal is to train highly qualified specialists in the chemical and other industries of the region in accordance with the needs of the labor market.
Historical chronicle: stages of formation
Our educational institution is constantly developing and updating in accordance with the requirements of the time:
1954: by the decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, the Zhambyl evening chemical and mechanical technical school was established on the basis of the superphosphate plant. The first director is K. L. Maksimov.
1971: the Zhambyl chemical and mechanical technical school of Union significance was reorganized and the day and evening departments were opened.
1995-1996: the educational institution was renamed Zhambyl Polytechnic technical school, and soon it was given the status of a college. During this period, new specialties were opened, such as software, finance, food industry.
1998: the merger of Zhambyl Polytechnic and Zhambyl Kazakh-Turkish accounting and economic colleges took place.
From 2009 to the present: the educational institution successfully continues its activities as the state enterprise "Zhambyl Polytechnic College" under the Department of education of the akimat of Zhambyl region. Since 2012, the college has been headed by candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Orynbaeva zh.R.
Partnership and experience
Since its inception, our college has been closely cooperating with industrial giants in the region. Initially, we worked with the Zhambyl superphosphate plant, and today we successfully continue our social partnership with the main chemical enterprise of the country – KAZPHOSPHATE LLP.
Social responsibility
Special attention is paid to supporting students in the college. Established in 2008, The Board of Trustees (which includes heads of enterprises) constantly participates in improving the social and living conditions of students:
Orphans: are fully exempt from tuition, even if they study in paid groups.
Large and low-income families: there are discounts up to 50% on tuition fees.
